Partner, Chief Intelligence Officer
Colin Fenton is a founding member and serves as Partner, Chief Intelligence Officer for Veriten. Previously, he was Chairman of Commodities in the Advisory practice for Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Earlier, Colin served as Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where he was Global Head of Commodities Research, Chief Commodities Strategist, and a member of the ten-person Management Committee for Research, which supervises the work of more than 1,000 analysts worldwide. On the buyside, Colin has held Managing Director and Portfolio Manager positions at hedge funds Ospraie Management and Duquesne Capital Management, following seven years at Goldman Sachs. Colin has more than 25 years of experience in investment strategy. He joined Veriten to promote global prosperity and help prevent capital allocation mistakes that would inflict suffering across the real world.
An amateur photographer, Colin has created images of people and places on five continents. He is a dedicated patron of coastal conservation efforts, medical research, urban youth education, and Cape League baseball games. Colin holds a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He is also a graduate of Princeton University, where he studied early modern history. His senior thesis was on pirates.
