Todd Scruggs is a founding member and serves as Partner, Investment Opportunities at Veriten. Todd has been in the energy industry for over 20 years, and has spent time in upstream, midstream, LNG, and commodity risk management companies and roles. Todd was most recently at Devon Energy, and its recent merger partner, WPX Energy, from 2012 to 2021. While at Devon and WPX, Todd served in VP, Corporate Development, Treasurer, and Director, Planning and Strategic Development roles, and was involved in numerous upstream, midstream, and financing transactions. Prior to WPX, Todd worked primarily in commodity risk management roles at Golar, Velocity Merchant Energy, and Williams.

Todd joined Veriten to work with a great team, and to help our partners investigate new opportunities and allocate capital in this rapidly changing energy world. Todd has an undergraduate degree in Finance and an MBA from Oklahoma State University and spends most of his free time going from one activity to another with his family.
