Veriten Welcomes John S. Daly as Senior Advisor

We are very pleased to share that John Daly has joined Veriten as a Senior Advisor. John was a long-time partner at Goldman Sachs for 32 years, where he most recently served as Chairman of Global Equity Capital Markets. He retired from GS in May 2021.

Many of you no doubt already know John. He is a great friend, has a superb analytical mind, and is someone that we have already been turning to for his macro, strategic and capital markets expertise. Since leaving Goldman, John also co-founded a venture platform called 25madison, an experience that we also hope to draw on.

John’s background also includes four years as an engineer at GE; three years in Hong Kong as co-head of Capital Markets for Asia ex-Japan, and co-head of the Industrial and Natural Resources Financing Group at GS. He holds an MBA from Wharton and degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin.

About John Daly

John S. Daly is the former chairman of Global Equity Capital Markets (ECM) at Goldman Sachs. He started in the Investment Banking Division (IBD) before moving to the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group where he managed the Energy issuance business. He was head of the Asia ex Japan ECM Group and held various leadership positions in the Financing Group, both in Hong Kong and New York. He was also head of the Americas ECM Group and served on the Firmwide Commitments Committee and the IBD Americas Operating Committee. John is also a co-founder of 25madison – a venture studio focused on incubating early-stage start-ups and venture capital investing.

John is a member of Trinity College Dublin’s Provost’s Council and the Advisory Board of Trinity College Business School. He serves as a Board Member for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and as a Board Member of the Irish Arts Centre in New York.
