Your Sparring Partner
We serve as an independent, constructive thought partner to senior leadership teams and boards. Our role is to refine thinking, question assumptions, surface blind spots, evaluate second-order risks, brainstorm alternative ideas, and strengthen conviction when a strategy holds up under scrutiny.
At its best, sparring improves clarity, strengthens alignment, and enhances resilience under volatile market conditions.
We regularly advise on:
- Capital allocation and return frameworks
- Alternative business models and margin expansion pathways
- Competitive positioning across converging energy, power and technology
- Public market positioning and perceptionÂ
- M&A strategy and transaction readiness
- Emerging technology evaluation and partnership strategy
Â
Our discussions are centered on our long range outlook for energy, power and technology and typically include key factors such as the macro environment, energy policy, investor views, competitive dynamics, and the structural forces reshaping global energy systems.
Structured Strategic Dialogue
We meet with senior management regularly, typically monthly, around defined strategic priorities. Engagements are focused, rigorous, and forward-looking. Between sessions, we remain in active dialogue as conditions evolve.
Board & Offsite Participation
We are frequently invited to participate in board meetings and annual strategy offsites, particularly when leadership teams are evaluating capital allocation frameworks, multi-year plans, or inflection-point decisions.
Executive Forums
We convene confidential peer discussions across our partner network, including focused working sessions and two larger annual gatherings. These forums facilitate candid exchange among leaders confronting similar structural challenges across different segments of the energy system.
Ongoing Market Intelligence
Each week partners receive “Veri-Lens” (our unique summary of all Veriten thoughts and activities) and our “Energy Market Wrap” (analysis of economic data, earnings and other select indicators) as well as other private analysis and research providing curated insights across energy markets, capital flows, policy developments, and competitive positioning.
Our Commercial Model
Our advisory relationships are structured around an annual partnership fee, preserving independence and objectivity.
Transaction or project-specific advisory engagements, such as M&A or pivotal strategic initiatives, are scoped separately (largely at client’s discretion as to our value-add).
We have deliberately cultivated a diverse yet like-minded community of partners of private and public companies and organizations. For information on becoming a partner company, please contact us.
