Mark Castiglione Joins Veriten as Partner, Oil & Gas Strategy

Veriten is thrilled to announce that Mark Castiglione has joined as “Partner, Oil & Gas Strategy,” to expand Veriten’s expertise in advising oil and gas and related companies, both domestically and internationally.

Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, spanning strategic efforts across the spectrum from large-cap publics including EOG and Burlington Resources to private companies, public equity firms and turnaround situations. Most recently, Mark has been involved in energy advisory through his firm MPC Resources, LLC and Meridian Energy LLC.

About Mark Castiglione
Prior to joining Veriten, Mark Castiglione was Founder and President of MPC Resources, LLC, a strategic advisory firm serving the energy industry for over a decade. Through MPC and Meridian Energy LLC, Mark provided CEO leadership, strategy development, capital allocation, and operational expertise to a wide range of energy companies and private equity clients.

Mark’s career includes senior leadership roles at EOG Resources, Quantum Resources Management, El Paso Corporation, and Burlington Resources, as well as advisory roles for Post Oak Energy Capital, Riverstone Holdings, and Canvas Energy. Mark also served as CEO of Alta Mesa Resources, Inc., where he oversaw the company’s restructuring process.

Mark holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He serves on the executive committee of the Texas Tech Petroleum Engineering Industry Advisory Board, is Chairman of the Texas Tech Petroleum Engineering Academy, and is a board member of the Houston Producers Forum.
