Ellen Wilkirson serves as a Managing Director at Veriten, where she focuses on the venture and growth equity investment platforms. Previously, she served as a Managing Director at Freestone, a Tailwater Capital venture and growth equity platform investing in energy transition and circular economy companies, where she was responsible for sourcing, execution, and ongoing monitoring and management of portfolio company investments. Prior to that, Ellen served as a Vice President at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, an alternative asset management firm, where she focused on making public and private investments in the midstream and utilities spaces. Ellen also spent time early in her career as an analyst in the oil and gas coverage group at Credit Suisse Securities. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and she is a CPA in the state of Texas.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business Canfield Business Honors Program, along with a Master in Professional Accounting. She is also a member of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center Associate Advisory Council and remains an active University of Texas alumni.
